Kat Dennings was born on June 13, 1986 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania and was named Katherine Victoria Litwack. Ellen Dennings, her mother. Ellen worked as a speech and poetry therapist. Gerald Dennings works as a molecular druggist and professor at the university. Dennings is the youngest of five children, and was brought up in a Jewish family. Dennings did not attend an established school for very long but was instead homeschooled. Since she was acting since an early age, she realized that homeschooling was the best solution. At the young age of 9, she had started doing commercials. To pursue her acting career, Kat Dennings moved with her family into Los Angeles when she finished high-school. Kat Dennings, as she was referred to at the time, began auditioning. Kat Dennings, who had moved between LA in 2000, moved to LA in 2000, made her first appearance in an HBO show known as "Sex and the City". Then, she starred in the WB's sitcom "Sex and the City".
