Melissa Suzanne George is an actress, businesswoman, inventor and model from Australia. Following her start in her native country she then moved to Hollywood and was able to achieve significant successes there. George was born in Perth located in the Western Australian state of Perth, was originally interested in dance and roller skating. She also enjoyed artistic roller skating. In 1992, she received the Western Australia Teenage Model Of The Year award for her modeling career. Her first screen role was on the episode Seven Network soap opera Home and Away. The film she made her debut with Dark City. Later, she was cast in minor roles like Alias The Limey in Down with Love. Then In The Amityville Horror 2005 remake she became the first female lead in the history of a Hollywood major production. At present she is one of the most popular Australian ex-pats within the American entertainment industry. George is a businesswoman who introduced her own invention Style Snaps to the market.
